The United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS), seeks interest of qualified companies to participate in an upcoming solicitation exercise for the provision of freight forwarding, inland transportation for shipment of goods from Genoa, Italy to Mogadishu, Somalia and/or Mombasa, Kenya. This requirement will be for the movement of 92 x 20' UN-Owned Containers with Modular Prefabricated Buildings from FCA Genoa, Italy to DAP UNSOS Logistics Base, Mogadishu, Somalia (Incoterms 2010) and/or DAP UNSOS Support Base, Mombasa, Kenya (Incoterms 2010). The intent is to identify a vendor having the capabilities to undertake full responsibility for all of the aspects of this shipment (using multi-modal transportation as necessary), loading and offloading. The vendor shall provide door-to-door transportation from point-of-origin to Mogadishu, Somalia and/or Mombasa, Kenya. This includes surface transport (rail and road), sea and waterway modes of transport, and may require multimodal transport. The Vendor shall provide the necessary Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and labour force required for loading and offloading. Insurance. The Vendor may be requested to provide insurance to this UN shipment.

This Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) does not constitute a solicitation. UNSOS reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements at any time during EOI and/or solicitation process. Submission of a reply to this EOI does not automatically guarantee that such firm will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. Only vendors, deemed qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their submission of EOI, will receive the final tender solicitation document.
