The study shall produce reference architecture products for the command and control (C2) of EU-led missions and operations in accordance with the European Defence Agency (EDA) guidelines for the development of architectures.

The study shall comprise:

— an analysis of the federated mission networking (FMN) spiral 1 specification and other reference documents in the context of common security and defence policy (CSDP), and

— the production of a C2 ‘Core’ and ‘Extended’ reference architecture in accordance with reference 1 for focused variants of an EU mission network against which EDA participating Member States (pMS) can develop national CIS requirements and specifications, apply and modify existing capabilities and develop associated information management plans.
