Apex Housing Association (Apex) provides social, affordable and supported housing and support services to meet the housing needs identified in those local communities within which it operates.
Apex is seeking to procure suitably qualified Design Teams for appointment to a Framework Agreement. The Framework Agreement will be for a period of 4 years. Design Teams appointed under the Framework Agreement may be required to provide design team services for works to dwellings owned by NI Housing Associations, details of which can be found at http://www.nidirect.gov.uk/index/contacts/contacts-az.htm/housing-associations-contact
Design Teams must include the following disciplines:
Architect or Building Surveyor;
Mechanical & Electrical Engineer;
Civil & Structural Engineer; and
The Architect or Building Surveyor must act as Lead Consultant.
The Services may include, where appropriate, the following:
- Procurement; and/or
- Contract administration/project management.
The Services covered by the Procurement have been sub-divided into two geographical lots as follows:
Lot 1 - Antrim (including Belfast)/Down/Armagh)
Lot 1 includes all existing and future dwellings owned by the Member Housing Associations located within the above areas.
Lot 2 - Derry/Tyrone/Fermanagh
Lot 2 includes all existing and future dwellings owned by the Member Housing Associations located within the above areas.
Design Teams may submit a PQQP for one or both Lots.
The Design Teams appointed to the Framework Agreement may be engaged to provide the Services by way of agreed Work Packages. Work Packages will vary in size, may involve one or more dwellings and may also vary in terms of the particular elements of the Services required.
Apex recognises that whilst some organisations may be able to provide all of the disciplines set out above from within their own internal resources, other organisations may need to partner with others to provide all of the disciplines required and/or to satisfy the requirements of the PQQP. Apex welcomes consortia or joint venture applications but requires that the entity providing the services of the Architect or Building Surveyor must act as Lead Consultant.
The Lead Consultant will be the party entering into the Framework Agreement with Apex.
