The Boldrewood Block H Fit-Out Project involves the fitting out of a newly constructed building that will provide state of the art research and teaching facilities for the University of Southampton's Faculty of Engineering and the Environment. Lab 05 within the building provides a 140 m long towing tank (water) that will be used for testing, teaching and research activities. This specific tender is for the completion of the design, the fabrication, the manufacture, the delivery and installation of the complete propulsion system for the carriage that will be used to manoeuvre along the towing tank for experimental and research purposes. The carriage has been procured via a separate contract and should be available in the building during February 2015. To help bidders assess at the outset if this is suitable, the high level assessment criteria are 60 % quality / 40 % price.
