The Contract relates to the provision of system integration services to the Thames Tideway Tunnel Project. It covers a full range of system integration works and services which are broadly divided into the following (non-exhaustive) stages: 1. The design development, architectural and installation design, procurement, construction, supply and installation, factory and site acceptance testing, commissioning, training and maintenance of the SCADA system (including hardware and software, telecommunications equipment and systems, and facility for broadband/mobile connectivity) at each work-site for the Project and at other monitored Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs). This includes the external (off work-site) communications, telemetry, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system, historical database, package and the integration of: TTT, Lee Tunnel, TWUL operational sites and all other outlying CSOs that require monitoring. As this work is completed and prior to the commissioning period for the Project (see below), the SI Contractor will be required to provide caretaker services in respect of the SCADA system. 2. Participating with the main works contractors in the systems commissioning of the Project prior to completion of the main works. 3. Acceptance testing of the SCADA system during the defects period of the main works (the 3 year period following completion of the main works). 4. Support and maintenance of the SCADA system during acceptance testing (see 3 above and to include physical maintenance of the SCADA system and support and licensing arrangements during this period). 5. Potentially some or all of the support, maintenance of the SCADA system and connectivity services following project acceptance (i.e. at the conclusion of the acceptance testing test and expiry of the main works defects period) to ensure use by the Contracting Entity (including other or successor Contracting Entities) of the SCADA system in accordance with the technical requirements set out in the Contract. Please refer to the OJEU contract notice identified in Section IV.3.2) for a full description of the services and the Project. Although this procurement was commenced and conducted by Thames Water Utilities Limited (TWUL), the contract is entered into by the successful Infrastructure Provider, Bazalgette Tunnel Limited, pursuant to the procedure set out in Section VI.3) of the contract notice. The Infrastructure Provider is a body designated by the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs or by Ofwat (the Water Services Regulation Authority) (as the case may be) in respect of the Project or Part (s) of the Project under or by virtue of Section 36D of the Water Industry Act 1991 (as inserted by Section 35 of the Flood and Water Management Act 2010) and pursuant to the Water Industry (specified Infrastructure Projects) (English Undertakers) Regulations 2013 (SI/2013/1582).
