Kilmartin Museum wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced consultant to implement a successful funding campaign for a GBP 6.7 million redevelopment of Kilmartin Museum.ProgressWe have secured a Heritage Lottery Fund Round 1 pass, along with securing other development funding from Highlands and Islands Enterprise and Argyll and Bute Council totalling GBP 600k, which represents 100% funding for our development phase. Excluding in kind, we have raised or have pledged GBP 4.5m towards the Delivery Phase, and have a further GBP 1.6m to raise. A Funding Strategy was produced in 2015 by Square Route Partnership which is part way through the implementation phase.TimescaleWe are expecting to submit a Round 2 Heritage Lottery Application in the summer of 2017, which will necessitate completion of all work specified below.The BriefA freelance/consultant is required to work with Kilmartin Museum Redevelopment Project Team and Board to deliver a successful match funding campaign and advise on the delivery of a successful Round 2 Heritage Lottery Application.Key Areas of WorkKey areas of work includes, but is not limited to:- advising the Project Team on developing and submitting a successful HLF Round 2 application- liaison with statutory organisations, Trusts, Foundations and other external bodies- delivery of a successful private individuals campaign- delivery of a successful Trusts and Foundations Campaign- delivery of a successful Public Bodies Funding Campaign- planning and delivery of fundraising events- preparation and submission of capital fundraising applications- managing grants and reporting as necessary- exploring options to increase revenue funding- dealing with ad hoc requests from Public Bodies and funders- undertaking other Redevelopment Project fundraising activities as required.DeliverablesDeliverables includes, but is not limited to:- successful delivery of the Museum’s Redevelopment match funding target- written strategy documents to maintain contacts with Trusts, Foundations and private individuals post completion of the Redevelopment Project which maximises opportunities developed during the campaign.Please see attached brief for full details and tender requirements.
