The Gifford Pinchot National Forest intends to acquire by contract Non-Commercial Tree Thinning and Slash Disposal services on the Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Monument. The project location is in Amboy, Washington. The Contractor shall furnish labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies and incidentals to ensure the services are performed in accordance with the solicitation requirements. There are 505 acres in the base items and an additional approximately 653 acres in option items. All of the the Option Items may or may not be awarded depending on the availability of funds. This commercial acquisition is a 100% Small Business set-aside. The applicable NAICS code is 115310- Support Activities for Forestry. The corresponding size standard is $7.5 million. Offerors will be evaluated on technical capability (experience), past performance and price. The Contract will be awarded to the offeror whose submittal, in compliance with the solicitation, is the best value to the Government. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the SAM Database will render an offeror ineligible for award. SAM replaced the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via the internet at: https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. A solicitation for this project, following the procedures of FAR Part 12 for the procurement of Commercial Items, will be posted to this website on July 1, 2015 with offers due on July 17, 2015.
