This notice is an update to the GPN No.7175-GPN-43343 published on the EBRD’s web-site on 22 August 2013.
OJSC “Khujand International Airport’ intends using the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) for a project to provide for emergency runway rehabilitation, the installation of high intensity lights and the modernisation of ground radio navigation equipment in order to enhance its operational efficiency and safety. The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of US$ 7.2 million equivalent, will require the procurement of the following goods, works and services:
Procurement of materials for runway rehabilitation, including crushed gravel, crushed sand and cement.
Supply and installation of high intensity equipment lighting (HIL).
Microwave Landing Systems (MLS) relocation and supply and installation of Distance Measuring Equipment (DME).
Tendering for the above supply contracts is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2015.
Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank will be subject to the Bank’s Procurement Policies and Rules and will be open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Bank’s loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser’s country.
