In addition, the successful bidder for the Sheffield City GP Medical Centre will be required to provide a home visiting service for those patients presenting with an urgent clinical need, who live within the Sheffield boundary but are registered with a practice outside of NHS Sheffield CCG boundary in accordance with GP Choice requirements and a violent patient service, for patients that have been subjected to immediate removal from a practice's list, to provide a stable environment for the patient to receive continuing health care, addressing any underlying causes of aggressive behaviour and providing a safe environment for the individuals involved in delivering that treatment.

This is a small practice of some 3 200 patients that has gone through a period of instability in recent times and despite best endeavours the current provider has been unable to secure a desired consistency in the continuity of clinicians often having an over-reliance on GP locums. This has impacted on the quality of care and experience received by patients of the practice. This was borne out by the findings of a local public and public engagement exercise recently undertaken as part of this procurement process. Past shortcomings will open up new opportunities for Partners with vision. There are new housing developments taking place within the locality and the ability to grow the practice list is an added bonus to enhance this investment. (As a consequence, the challenges facing the new provider, will include a particular focus on the provision of chronic disease management). Innovators will immediately recognise the benefits to be gained from maximising QOF opportunities. There is also in place a unique, dedicated Barnsley CCG Practice Delivery Agreement which will enhance and drive additional income streams and support new ways of working. It is expected that the new provider will demonstrate their commitment to Barnsley CCG as a membership organisation and pro actively join their peer members within a local community of GP practices committed to the wider integration agenda and the delivery of the unified primary care at scale offer. This notice serves to announce that a contract was not awarded following the conclusion of this tender exercise. It does not seek any expressions of interest for a new opportunity. These services are requested and used on behalf of the Authority via the Dog Warden Service which is part of the Environmental & Development Services (EDS) Directorate.

The potential provider(s) must have valid Animal Boarding Licenses which have been granted by the local authority.  As standard the provider(s) should be compliant with the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, or any regulations made under the 1991 Act; Environmental Protection Act 1990 and Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005, and or any subsequent changes that may occur to these regulations.

The service section requires the following as part of the agreement;

The Authority is requesting in total fifteen (15) kennels to be made available exclusively for this framework agreement, either through one provider or a selection of providers.

This Framework agreement is for 4 years, extended yearly subject to the   provider(s) performance, RMBC reserves the right to use more than one supplier if required.

The Costs for the kennels should be fixed and firm throughout the term of this agreement

Wherever possible the provider(s) to try and re-home the dogs.

All Veterinary, medication and pre-vaccinations, need to be pre-approved by a RMBC Authorised Officer before been administered and charged.

Agree a schedule of Rates for medical treatments.

Compliance  visits to be undertaken prior to the awarding of this agreement

The Provider shall have Insurance policies in place that cover requirements.

NHS England, Yorkshire and The Humber in conjunction with NHS Barnsley Clinical Commissioning Group wishes to commission an Alternative Provider Medical Services contract, currently delivered at Brierley Medical Practice. The aim of the service is to deliver essential, additional and enhanced services to registered patients from a premises located at Brierley. Brierley is located in the North East Ward in Barnsley. A former GMS practice, services were previously provided at Brierley Medical Centre and the branch site at Shafton. This contract was terminated in June 2014. Steps were taken to secure interim (emergency) alternative personal medical services by means of a caretaker contract for a period of 12 months commencing on 1.7.2014. Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust (SHSC) are currently providing services from Brierley Medical Centre through an APMS contract. The branch surgery, Shafton Health Centre closed in July 2015. This is a small practice of some 3 200 patients that has gone through a period of instability in recent times and despite best endeavours the current provider has been unable to secure a desired consistency in the continuity of clinicians often having an over-reliance on GP locums. This has impacted on the quality of care and experience received by patients of the practice. This was borne out by the findings of a local public and public engagement exercise recently undertaken as part of this procurement process. Past shortcomings will open up new opportunities for Partners with vision. There are new housing developments taking place within the locality, and the ability to grow the practice list is an added bonus to enhance this investment. (As a consequence, the challenges facing the new provider, will include a particular focus on the provision of chronic disease management) Innovators will immediately recognise the benefits to be gained from maximising QOF opportunities. There is also in place a unique, dedicated Barnsley CCG Practice Delivery Agreement which will enhance and drive additional income streams and support new ways of working.
