North Yorkshire County Council wishes to appoint a contractor to carry out the Carriageway Resurfacing of Tadcaster Bus Station. The work will contain resurfacing of the asphalt carriageway 40mm & renewing the existing lining of the site Hot Rolled Asphalt - High PSV Tadcaster Bus Station is a small one way street that joins Commercial Street at both ends in a loop. It is located just north of Tadcaster Bridge. It is anticipated that the works will be carried out between 17th -19th July. • 17th - All Tarmac Works • 18th - All Lining Works • 19th - Demobilization The works will be carried out between the hours of 20:00 to 06:00. The road will be closed during work hours. This is due to the requirement for public access to the doctors surgery and medical centre during the day. Pedestrian access to the doctors and local accomodation must be maintained at all times.

Insurance Broking and Risk Management Consultancy Services

The Council wishes to award a contract for Insurance Broking and Risk Management Consultancy Services.  In addition you will also be required to provide quotations for the provision of the Service to certain customers, with whom the Council has a Service Level Agreement.  These customers are as follows:  North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service,Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, North York Moors National Park Authority.

 The Contractor will provide insurance broking and risk management consultancy services (“the Service”) for the following core insurances:  Liability, Motor, Property, Personal Accident and Travel, Engineering.

If in the future the successful broker is on the second version of the CCS Framework, it is our intention to issue a contract variation to remove the Services for the main insurances from this contract.  We will then direct appoint the successful broker on the framework to undertake the Services via the framework.

If in the future the successful broker is not on the second version of the CCS Framework, the successful broker will continue to deliver the Services for the main insurances under this contract.

Broking for Specialist Insurances:  The Contractor will provide the Services and negotiate and place Specialist Insurances on behalf of the Council and the Authorities. 

Specialist Insurances may include, but are not limited to the following:  Medical Malpractice, Non-Owned Aviation, Terrorism, Legal Expenses, Stop Loss Cover for the Council’s Staff Absence Scheme, Event Cover. 

Additional Services:  In addition to the above there are some optional Additional Service requirements. 

To provide risk management services for risk management as and when necessary.

To provide general risk management advice and developments.

To assist in reviewing uninsured risks and provide recommendations as to how they should be addressed.

To assist with the Council’s tender for claims handling as and when necessary.

On an annual basis review the adequacy of the Council internal self-insurance fund.

On a triennial basis undertake an actuarial analysis and review of claims data and internal self-insurance fund for the Council.
