The United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (hereinafter referred to as “UN-ICTY”) and the Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals (hereinafter referred to as “MICT”) has, at the present, travel, medical and dental insurance as well as third party liability insurance coverage for all potential witnesses of the UN-ICTY/MICT. The UN-ICTY/MICT intends to establish a contract for 2 years, with 2 additional optional extenions of 1 year each, with an insurer (or two insurers in case of a split award), hereinafter named: the Contractor, or the Insurer, for the provision of a comprehensive medical and third party liability insurance coverage for its witnesses and/or support persons/guests on short-term travel status to testify during court hearings and trials at the UN-ICTY and the MICT.
Types of Insurances Required**:
(1) Medical insurance coverage and third party liability for witnesses/guests on short term status while in The Hague, The Netherlands, to testify during Court hearings at the UN-ICTY and MICT, and
(2) Medical and third party liability insurance coverage for witnesses/guests and their accompanying family members (as and when defined by the UN-ICTY and MICT) awaiting permanent relocation in a third country. The coverage shall apply throughout the witnesses/guests stay in The Netherlands and up to the onward travel from The Netherlands to the final country of relocation.
**(Due to security reasons, the witnesses and family members have to be accepted by the Insurer without prior medical examinations).
Interested firms/organisations should forward their Expressions of Interest (EOI) by making reference to the above mentioned subject to the UN-ICTY Procurement Section at the e-mail address or by fax number given above not later than the Closing Date for Receipt of EOI mentioned above. The EOI must be submitted with the information requested in the attached Response Form. Please be advised that this EOI does not constitue a solicitation and the UN-ICTY and MICT reserves the right to change or cancel this requirement at any time.
