The Rome, Italy-based Agencies of the United Nations - The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the World Food Programme (WFP), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) – are requesting an Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible companies in anticipation of a tender for “MEDICAL LABORATORY SERVICES”.
The Medical Services of the Rome Based Agencies (RBA), namely FAO, WFP, IFAD and ICCROM, perform entry, periodic and exit medical examinations on its employees. These examinations which lead to a medical clearance include routine blood and urine analyses as well as specialized tests depending on the employee’s medical condition. In addition, for convenience, upon presentation of a prescription, FAO employees can have their personal lab tests, at the moment collected on FAO premises, for which they are billed through their insurance plans.
This “Expression of Interest” (EoI) aims to identify private laboratories based in Rome, Italy to provide medical laboratory services, in compliance with international quality standards for a competitive price to all Rome based agencies.
