Supply and Installation of Electric Vehicle Charging Points in Midlothian

In order to make it possible for longer journeys between centres of population to be undertaken Transport Scotland is developing with its Grantee partners the “High Powered Interoperable Network” (HPIN) of Electronic Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure facilities across the whole of Scotland. Having secured funding, Midlothian Council is now seeking to invite tenders for the supply and installation of equipment as detailed within the Invitation to Tender Documents. The charging outlets must be suitable for the recharging of a range of electrically powered industrial and domestic vehicles being suitable for wall and surface mounting. Optional costs for servicing and maintaining this equipment are also being sought.

Midlothian Council is required, each year, to carry out quality assurance inspections on any gas installations serviced and maintained by the Authorities' various external Gas Contractors. Midlothian Council seeks to appoint a suitably qualified Quality Assurance Auditor (Gas Auditor) to carry out gas quality assurance checks on their behalf, in liaison with the Authorities' Gas Safety Team.

Optional costs for servicing and maintaining this equipment are also being sought. This is the second issue of this tender opportunity, the reason being that the Authority is now going to provide a 24 hour dedicated 3 phase supply box for the succesful tenderer to connect to, where as this was to be the responsibility of the tenderer under the previous tender exercise. The locations have also been amended.
