Tender for the Replacement of Domestic Gas Appliances. The work comprises of the replacement of domestic gas appliances and associated works and covers approximately 29 000 domestic properties across the entire Sandwell Metropolitan Borough. This primarily comprises of replacing domestic gas appliances (boilers, gas fires, gas cookers) along with ancillary works. The contract also includes the fitting electric fires and the installation of individual radiators. Some of the works may include full heating installations due to a medical need at the property.

ITT for the Provision of Annual Gas Safety Inspection and Servicing of Gas Appliances. Tenders are invited from contractors to support the Council to undertake its Landlords Duty in ensuring that gas safety inspection, service and associated repair works for all gas pipework, appliances and fittings owned by the Council are carried out within statutory timescale in various types of properties within Sandwell. The Council operates an eleven month gas servicing cycle and there are currently 26 282 dwellings with a live gas supply.

Tender for the Provision of Electrical Repairs and Maintenance.

The project comprises electrical services to supplement the electrical teams in Sandwell Council’s Response Repairs, Planned and Cyclical, Aids and Adaption’s and Void sections. The project is to provide repair/maintenance, cyclical maintenance and Electrical Installation Condition Reports to approximately 29 000 domestic properties throughout the Borough of Sandwell. The tenderers’ attention is specifically drawn to the fact that a proportion of properties will be occupied throughout the period of the contract with the remaining properties being void, and tenderers are required to include any additional costs involved in their tender to allow for this.
