BMBC, Schools Catering Service provides a catering service to individual Schools and Academies across the Borough of Barnsley, currently providing catering services to Primary Schools / Academies, operating 55 School Kitchens (subject to change).
The Service requires a suitably experience organisation to provide the Annual Gas/Electrcial Servicing and Repair and Maintenance of Commercial Catering Equipment.
Our catering equipment shall be maintained and functional, to enable us to carry out our service provision and provide a safe working environment for our employees. Our equipment consists of a whole range of food service equipment from various manufacturers i.e. Falcon, Bartlett, Moorwood Vulcan, Viscount, Lincat, Lainox, Rationale, Victor, Grundy etc.
The works comprise annual servicing of commercial gas fire appliances. The servicing will include a full strip down summer service (April-July), followed by cursory appliance inspection check winter service (October –December). Any additional works such as repairs instructed as a result of the service may form part of the contract. A 24hr/365day emergency call out facility will be an essential requirement of the contract. Please note that the Council considers that the re-letting of the existing service contract resulting from this tender exercise will amount to a service provision change under TUPE Regulation 3.

The Federation of Corpus Christi is a group of three Barnsley Schools who have taken the decision to work together to secure service improvements and efficiencies. The schools are based in Goldthorpe, Hoyland and Wombwell.
The schools are looking for suitably qualified organisations to quote for the provision of their Repairs and Maintenance Service. This includes both reactive repairs and a planned schedule of service and maintenance.
The contract is for the period 01.04.16 until 31.03.18 (with an option to extend by a further 1 year until 31.03.19.

Tenders are to be invited for The Provision of Soft Facilities Management to LIFT Premises the period 1st April 2014 to 31st March 2017, with options to extend for 2 further periods of 12 months each.

LIFT (Local Improvement Finance Initiative) is a partnership arrangement between the NHS, Barnsley MBC and the appointed Hard FM provider.
The Facilities Management Contract is for the provision of the soft services to 10 Centre’s in total within the Barnsley Borough Area which are community buildings where both Barnsley Council and the NHS provide services along with other providers of social care and health services.
All other services relating to the building maintenance are part of the Hard FM arrangements.
Services to be provided:-
a)The management and provision of cleaning, (the premises incorporate minor surgical areas requiring a high intensive sterilizing cleaning).
c) Security (24hour internal and external).
d) Grounds maintenance of areas surrounding the premises.
e) Window cleaning.
f) Fabric, fixture and fittings maintenance (eg. curtains, carpets, chairs etc.).
g) Office management services covering stationery and goods management and distribution the stationery and products contracts of the both the Council and the PCT will be ultilised for the supply).
h) Building Inspection and Management (does not cover building repair and maintenance).
i) Energy and Environmental Management - involves managing energy usage and sustainability of all internal operations within the building.

The tender will be on the restricted procedure and the contract has been advertised in the official Journal of the European Union
Completed questionnaires need to be uploaded via the Yortender system; submissions and communications outside the system will not be accepted.
Tender documents will placed on the Yortender system for the shortlisted companies to access in November 2013.

The Estimated annual value of the contract is £560,000.
