a. Maximising the recycling/recovery of Cooling Equipment. Central to this operation is the recovery and disposal of controlled substances (Ozone Depleting Substances e.g. CFCs)
b. The loading and transportation of the units at the States of Guernsey (SOG) Waste Management Site.
c. The off-loading and recycling of the Cooling Equipment.
d. The reporting of data, weighbridge tickets, consignment notes, TFS documentation as required.
LondonWaste Ltd owns and operates the EcoPark Energy Centre located in Edmonton, London. The Energy Centre is an Energy-from-Waste facility comprising five boilers burning approximately 500 000 tonnes of municipal residual waste per year, in a continuous 24-hour operation, 7 days per week.
Exhaust steam from the Energy Centre's four turbines is condensed by cooling water passing through the condenser's tubes before returning to the Five Cell Head Wrightson cooling towers and subsequent recirculation. This contract is for the refurbishment of Cells 1 and 2 of the Cooling Towers.
