Project # 506-327, Build Out Clinics in Prior Emergency Room/Urgent Care. This project will construct an approximately three level, 16,500 square foot addition to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Ann Arbor Healthcare System, VA Medical Center located at, 2215 Fuller Rd., Ann Arbor, MI 48105. This project will consist of auger and concrete cast foundation system, structural steel framing, metal decking and concrete floor completed with infill of clinical and administrative space. New expansion will consist of basement, 1st floor, and 2nd floor, each of approximately 5,500 GSF, for a total expansion of 16,500 GSF. Location will be on the west side of the primary inpatient hospital, situated between two existing wings in a location presently occupied by an eight section modular facility. Interior renovation will consist of adjacent space renovated and/or converted usage to support the new building addition.
Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including the furnishing of labor and materials and equipment to complete all new construction which includes but not limited to Existing Conditions, Concrete, Metals, Wood/Plastics/Composites, Thermal & Moisture Protection, Openings, Finishes, Specialties, Furnishings, Special Construction, Fire Suppression, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Communications, Electronic Safety & Security, Earthwork, Exterior Improvements, and Utilities divisions.
All employees of general contractor and subcontractors shall comply with VA security management program and obtain permission of the VA police, be identified by project and employer, and restricted from unauthorized access.
SET-ASIDE INFORMATION: This solicitation will be issued pursuant to the authority under Public Law 109-461 (38 U.S.C. 8127) and is a 100% Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The SDVOSB must be small under the relevant North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code and MUST be registered and verified in the following websites: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov, www.sam.gov, to name a few, to be eligible for award. Bidders MUST ensure registration in these websites are accurate, complete and have not expired prior to bid opening date. Project magnitude is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The NAICS code is 236220 and the business size standard is $36.5 million.
BONDS in form of Bid, Payment and Performance will be required.
SITE VISIT: a one-time only site visit will be scheduled and that information will be in the solicitation package. The solicitation documents will be posted at www.fbo.gov on or about May 8, 2017, with bid opening approximately 30 days later. Dissemination of the solicitation, specifications and drawings is limited to electronic medium. All interested Bidders (primes & subcontractors) should register at www.fbo.gov so others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement and for automatic receipt of updates or amendments. A Bidder's mailing list WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contracting Officer, as it is the Bidders responsibility to register at the www.fbo.gov website.
SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at www.fbo.gov. Paper copies of the amendment will NOT be individually mailed.
