The Community Infection Prevention and Control Service will provide expert advice on the prevention and control of infection to the general public (residents, patients, carers, and others) and to providers of health and social care services across Cheshire East.
The focus of the service will be to:
— Reduce and sustain reductions in healthcare-associated infections.
— The service will support commissioners to achieve a reduction in the rate of Clostridium difficile infections (CDIs), in line with national objectives.
— Support the Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) to deliver on the requirement for 0 tolerance of avoidable MRSA bacteraemias.
