In a first stage, the existing KAS iSOFT CCG manufacturer i-solutions Healthcare should be replaced. The KAS is intended here for the various departments of the University of Greifswald (UMG) can illustrate the necessary special manifestations. All partial platforms should be deeply integrated with each other and with the rest of HIS applications of UMG. The user-friendly management of the patient consents, the reliable application of data protection and an individualized therapeutic services data-driven and knowledge-based system architecture are virtually become the trademark of the whole system KAS. Therefore, the new KAS has a maximum of process-oriented and it can represent robust and semantically correct the billing leading end documentation processes and the transition from KAS to SAP. Such programs should be integrated with the new KAS and together form the overall system KAS. These systems will initially be not replaced, but possible deeply integrated with the new KAS. For this purpose, standardized functional properties of the KAS are needed to be represented there on the basis of some selected IHE Integration Profiles. Finally, the new KAS system can represent a maximum care home efficiently and effectively, including workflow and functional profiles, medical and nursing process support, decision support, open interfaces (IHE, HL7, etc.), electronic orders and findings management, medication, nursing documentation, power points management and web integration.
