Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) are inviting bids from a number of organisations who might be able to provide services that meet RMBC’s current needs for the cleaning and preparation of Domestic Appliances and Furniture, within the Rotherham Furniture Solutions warehouse.

The anticipated spend is in the region of £16,000 per annum, however this does not carry any guarantee of turnover and any estimated volumes of business are indicative and may vary upwards or downwards depending on actual future needs.

The framework will be awarded initially for a period of one year, with the option to extend at the sole discretion of the Council for a further one year.

The intention is to award to a single supplier

Additionally the contractor may also be required to undertake other similar services from time to time. For example clearing and cleaning properties following evictions.

RMBC has chosen to divide the contract into four lots, two for security requirements and two for cleaning and clearances on a geographical basis as follows:

 

Lot 1 – Void Security, Rotherham North - £23,000 value per annum 

Lot 2 – Void Security, Rotherham South - £23,000 value per annum 

Lot 3 – Cleaning and Clearances, Rotherham North - £90,000 value per annum 

Lot 4 – Cleaning and Clearances, Rotherham South - £90,000 value per annum 

 

The framework will be awarded initially for a period of two years, with the option to extend for a further two years on a year by year basis at RMBC’s discretion.
