The Norwegian Parliament has numerous furniture with leather upholstery. The sitting groups requires regular maintenance of seats and backs. The leather furniture is in a good condition. Most of the furniture was maintained in 2015 and 2016. The contracting authority requests tenders for annual maintenance services of the furniture. The maintenance service shall include:

— -Cleaning and oiling leather furniture.

— -Application of leather protection agents.

— -Maintenance of the leather colour, in regards to reducing discolouration and bleaching from sunlight.

In cases where the leather is damaged or discoloured, replacement or new dyeing for certain furniture surfaces/areas may be relevant

Parts of the leather furniture shall be maintained and completed by 20.9.2017. The remaining leather furniture shall be completed by 1.7.2018. A list of the relevant leather furniture is attached with the tender documentation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs would like to enter into a framework agreement with a supplier for the procurement of furniture, rugs and lighting, with the aim of covering the contracting authority's need for cost/environmentally efficient procurements in the contract period. The furniture shall mainly be used in foreign embassies, but the ministry would also like an option for the procurement of furniture for their premises in Norway when needed. Through this Public procurement, the Client wishes to enter into a framework agreement with one supplier for the delivery of office furniture and furnishings.

Norad moved to new premises in Bygdøy Allé 2 in 2016, and then, most of the furniture was new or little used. Therefore, Norad does not require extensive changes in the interior, but only adaptations and supplements of existing solutions. After reconstruction in 2017, Norad has 96 workplaces on the open spaces and 176 cellular offices. The workplaces are spread over 7 floors. There is a total of 14 chat / quiet rooms, 18 meeting rooms and 2 rest rooms.

Furniture to be ordered applies to all rooms and areas in Norad's premises: common areas, cellular offices, open workplaces, meeting rooms, print rooms, warehouse, library. In addition, solar blinds can be ordered.

The Framework Agreement will have a duration of 2 years with an option for Norad to extend by one year at a time up to a maximum contract duration of 4 years. Scheduled contract signing is in November 2017.

The extent is estimated at approx. 400 000 — 700 000 NOK excl. VAT per year. This is only a rough estimate intended only to give tenderers a hint on the scope of the Framework Agreement.
