The University of Dublin, Trinity College plans to establish a Multi-supplier framework for Supply, delivery and installation of Loose Furniture to fulfil our furniture requirement. These suppliers shall be capable of providing a broad range of goods under the category of loose furniture. These goods will be procured at various intervals during the academic year by our various departments on campus. Loose furniture may also be procured by departments at our sites adjacent to our city centre campus and at our satellite sites in the Dublin area. The draw down mechanism will be by means of a mini-competition.

The University will award multiple-supplier framework contracts for the supply of loose Furniture. The framework will be established initially for a 24 months period with an option to extend for a further 4 periods of 6-month duration. The framework shall not exceed 48 months in aggregation. Contracts awarded under this framework will be for a maximum duration of 12 months.

Through this tender process Dublin City Public Libraries will award a contract for the design, supply, delivery and installation of shelving and furniture (including public counters) at Kevin Street Library, which constitutes the final phase of the refurbishment project. To date the building has undergone structural repairs, restoration and enabling works. The main construction contract is currently underway and is due to complete in June/July of this year with the library to be ready for fit-out and moving in upon completion.

Luas Cross City will represent the next addition to Dublin’s Luas light railway system. Running from the Luas Green Line terminus at St. Stephen’s Green through the city centre Phibsborough and Cabra to Broombridge the new line will link the Luas Red and Green Lines and will also serve the planned new DIT Campus facility at Grangegorman. The proposed line is 5.6 km in length and will have 13 stops. It will provide interchange with suburban railway services at Broombridge and with city bus services at numerous locations throughout the city centre. The proposed Luas Stops will include shelters, seating, balustrades, handrails, signage, bins, notice boards, Emergency Help Point's, Passenger Information Display's and Advertisement drums. The contract for the design, manufacture and supply of the Luas Cross City stop furniture is for a duration of 5 years with an option for a further 5 years. This Contract may include for the provision of stop furniture for future Luas lines and for the upgrade of the existing Luas lines. RPA will not be responsible for any costs, expenses or charges incurred by candidate or tenderers involved in this process. Award of contracts will be subject to the approval of the competent authorities. If as a result of institutional reform the Railway Procurement Agency merges with, or is subsumed into, other public bodies, it reserves the right to use the contract to procure works for the new entity. Candidates are advised that RPA is subject to the Freedom of Information Acts 1997 and 2003.
