Construction of Milngavie Station Travel Hub based on a design outlined by the Transport and Access team. The construction includes, but is not limited to, the following elements: • Installation of high quality granite surfacing – provided. • Introduction of a shared use footway along the boundary of parking area. • Installation of covered bin store • Creation of new Public Square • Improved bus stop facilities This will involve civil engineering tasks including, but not restricted to, excavation of carriageway including road planing, drainage works, laying of granite slabs, kerbs and setts, footway widening, installation of dropped kerbs, lining, signalised crossing facilities and bollards/signage.

East Dunbartonshire Council are seeking to engage a suitably experienced and qualified contractor carry out the construction works in the formation of a new streetscape in the Cowgate in Kirkintilloch The project seeks to deliver a key stage of the Kirkintilloch Town Centre Masterplan. The Cowgate is to be reconfigured to a ‘Shared Space’ principle prioritising pedestrian movement and activity over vehicle movement. The site is a busy town centre with many independent and national retailers. The project must offer opportunity to these businesses and needs to be constructed in a considerate manner that minimises disruption to them and allows them to continue operations. Access, cleanliness and bin collections are particular issues that require attention The works are Construction of Cowgate Streetscape from West High Street to Southbank Road. The works to be provided comprise the following main elements - site clearance and excavation; - construction of natural stone paving and kerbing; - carriageway reconstruction; - construction of setted road crossings / raised tables; - drainage; - installation of new street lighting; - planting and street trees and formal soft landscaping; - replacement signage; - maintenance of all planting to ensure all species are thriving at handover; - installation of street furniture. The majority of the stone paving units have been procured by the Employer through a separate contract and will be made available free of charge to the Contractor.
