Whitefriars Housing are seeking to comprise the replacement of pitched roof coverings 3 storey (Including dormers roofs & vertical tiles) Improved ventilation and roof membrane/ insulation to maisonettes plus the usual associated items such as insulation, guttering, rain water goods, soffit, fascia boards replacement to all elevations and sub-elements, the bin chute roofs, new coverings for flat roof (To walk ways, balconies, staircases) and complete new balustrades throughout including the stairwells and side entrance gates. Works will also comprise of external lighting and internal works of new flooring and decorating. The roofs currently have concrete interlocking tiles which will need to be appropriately removed. All materials that contain asbestos which will need to be disposed of to comply with the current legislation. The defects to the external projection in the highlighted locations require removing, concrete repairs in certain areas underneath walkways (joining to bin chute out building), rebuild of brickwork, brickwork repair, re-pointing works undertaking and painting with a suitable anti- carbonation concrete paint for external use. Further surveys indicate works to replace the bin chute doors and under stairwell doors complete for ledge and brace door complete including ironmongery. There is also a lack of lighting (under soffit lighting) and the provision of making the areas more lit with new external lighting. Buckinghamshire County Council (BCC or "the council") is seeking a contractor to supply a shredder to shred bulky waste and to provide the on-going maintenance of that shredder. The shredding of bulky waste will enable the resulting waste to be treated at the Council's Energy from Waste Facility. The types of items that will need shredding include, but are not limited to, mattresses, sofas, furniture, garden furniture etc. The bulky waste must be shredded to no bigger than a 240 litre wheelie bin size. The shredder must be mobile and operated by diesel. The successful contractor will be required to supply, install and maintain the shredder. The Contract is due to be awarded by 1.2.2016 and the shredder must be operational by 1.6.2016.

The works are required to create a new entrance focal point for the Founder's Building coupled with a new purpose built waste area to the rear. The works comprise: The refurbishment of the main entrance area on the East side of the Founder's building to create a new focal entrance point, the rationalisation of existing services and the creation of disabled access to the side corridors. The project also includes the rationalisation of the West entrance, the creation of a ramp and the creation of a purpose built refuse space to the rear of the building. Thanet District Council is seeking the provision of comprehensive repairs and maintenance services including day to day responsive repairs, void refurbishment, refuse bin maintenance, fire alarm testing and maintenance, door entry phone system repairs and maintenance, lift servicing and maintenance, asbestos removal, pest control, mechanical installations maintenance, aids and adaptations, estate based works and emergency out of hours maintenance. The contract will also include for the provision of 'customer call-centre' to manage repairs. The predominant services shall be provided to housing assets although the provision of responsive repairs will also apply to the Authority's Corporate Property portfolio. In addition the Contract will include for undertaking some capital improvement works to housing assets including internal and external component replacement. The Service Provider will also be expected to support the Authority in collecting data on its assets through stock condition software. Wealden District Council has appointed architects (Frankham) to planning submission stage only, planning approval was granted in September 2016. Ridge LLP are acting as Employers Agent to manage the contract and act on the Councils behalf. The apartments at Snape View will be for rent to households who are on the Council's Housing Register for accommodation. The homes will be part of the Council's rented stock. The homes therefore need to be good quality and low maintenance.
