The Forestry Commission have awarded a framework agreement for fencing and maintenance operations in the Forest of Dean area and Herefordshire woodlands. We also require the installation and maintenance of entrance barriers and other obstructions to unauthorised vehicles in the same area.

The Forestry Commission have awarded a framework agreement for the supply and erection of a secure stock fence to contain Eurasian beavers within a trail re-introduction area. It is anticipated that this will be a 1-off installation in year 1 of the framework. This framework agreement will also involve the supply and erection of 1 pedestrian gate within the above fence.

We will be awarding a framework agreement for excavator and associated operations in the Forestry Commission woodlands and forests within West Forest District. Our intention is to award this framework agreement for a period of 4 years, commencing on the 2.1.2018.

—Prepare forestry restock sites for planting. This involves the management of brash and harvesting residues. This will include a requirement for mulching operations. Please note that no brash raking operations will be required in year 1 of this Lot, as this operation is currently under another contract.

The Forestry Commission are looking to award a contract for the rapid production of an inclusive, forward looking INTERPRETATION STRATEGY for the Forest of Dean. The INTERPRETATION STRATGY will form part of the Foresters’ Forest Heritage Lottery Funded Landscape Partnership programme which needs to create a Landscape Conservation Action Plan for the Stage Two submission in early November 2016. Through its clear interpretative framework, it will provide the basis for interpretation delivery across the £3.7m project in the following 5 years of the Foresters’ Forest Programme.
