Service Provision for International Forest Industries Development Advisor.
Indufor Oy on behalf of Private Forestry Programme (PFP) | Published November 6, 2015 - Deadline December 14, 2015
Private Forestry Programme is a bilateral development assistance programme between the governments of Finland and Tanzania, which is being implemented by a consortium led by Indufor Oy. The Programme aims at reducing poverty in the Southern Highlands and Kilombero Valley of Tanzania by developing science-based plantation forestry and adding value to the entire forest product value chain, from quality tree seeds to quality wood products.
The programme is well established facilitating village land use planning, and supporting quality smallholder plantation establishment; both directly through its tree grower incentive scheme, and indirectly through supporting companies to expand their out-grower schemes. The programme is strengthening tree grower associations, and developing vocational courses in plantation forestry and wood processing.
The Programme is now seeking contract a forest industries development adviser service provider to lead delivery of its support for national forest industries.
