UNDP Namibia, Country Office (CO) is re-focusing its efforts to support innovation, knowledge management and an evidence based approach to enhance UNDP’s leadership as a thought leader in sustainable human development. In order to respond effectively to the UNPAF 2014-2018, the Harambee Prosperity Plan (2016/17-2019/20) and National Development Plan priorities and SDGs, the CO, seeks to enhance development effectiveness by improving systems, tools and mechanisms for national policy and strategy planning, analysis, monitoring, evaluation and reporting. In this regard, UNDP works closely with the UN Country Team in Namibia through the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator. For these tasks to be achieved, timely and credible data is critical to buffer the upstream engagement of UN/UNDP. In this context the UNDP CO and the Resident Coordinator’s Office (RCO) proposes to set up and maintain a robust database, to collate and disseminate up to date and credible information, and to analyse and report on the social economic and environmental development in the country. For this purpose, UNDP CO and RCO seeks the services of a Data Analyst, to design develop and maintain a data base of relevant statistics.Interested candidates are requested to submit the following documents:Duly accomplished Letter of Confirmation of Interest and Availability supported by a breakdown of costs using the template provided in annexes.UNDP Personal History form (P11) (annex), indicating all past experience from similar projects, as well as the contact details (email and telephone number) of the Candidate and at least three (3) professional references.Any other information that the applicant finds relevant.
