D--PTSD Engagement (EBP) Online resource to promote evidence-based care

Project: Development of an online resource to promote evidence-based care of PTSD
The National Center for PTSD (NCPTSD) is seeking a contractor to lead the conceptualization, planning, and development of an online resource to promote the use of evidence-based PTSD treatments by mental health providers. The target audience is VA providers, but the product will include suggestions for providers in the community.
The product must be 508 compliant and conform to all Department of Veterans Affairs and NCPTSD standards with regard to technological specifications, design, and plain language. Note that VA staff use PCs running Internet Explorer 11. All products must run successfully in the VA environment.
Providers know what treatments are effective but too often have difficulty describing evidence-based treatments in a way that Veterans can fully understand. This is in part due to providers' concerns that Veterans may not want (or are not ready for) these treatments. But when these treatments are adequately described to them, Veterans tend to select and prefer these treatments to others.
This product will teach providers how to talk to their patients about evidence based treatments for PTSD. It will include new video, text, and interactive elements describing the treatments as well as information about how to use products NCPTSD has already created such as About Face, whiteboard videos, and the decision aid. Finally, challenges will also be addressed.
This is a Pre-Solicitation and offers will not be accepted from this pre-solicitation.
Solicitation will be posted on August 18, 2016.
