Cambridge City Council has embarked on a strategy to rationalise its administrative office stock by refurbishing retained office accommodation and introducing "SMART" working practices into newly refurbished offices at Mandela House, 130 Cowley Road and The Guildhall, Cambridge. Cambridgeshire County Council is inviting tenders for the delivery of Extra Care and Housing Related Support at Poppyfields, St Neots. Extra care housing is defined as specialist accommodation designed to maximise the independence of older people by providing a safe, secure and stimulating environment. Service users retain the independence of having their own home and at the same time benefit from the availability of around the clock social care and housing support. The care and support service is expected to enable service users to live independently and to maximise the their capacity to carry out tasks themselves.

The successful provider shall deliver 203 core care hours per week to be split between 140 core daytime hours and 63 (waking) night hours. Additional hours will be deployed in a way that reflects the needs of individuals.

The contract is for an initial period of three (3) years with the option to extend for a further two (2) years.

Officially opened by Her Majesty the Queen in February 2007, Cancer Research UK, Cambridge Institute aims to bring the scientific strengths of Cambridge to bear on practical questions of cancer diagnosis, treatment and prevention.

Currently staff work across 5 floors: The Basement, Ground Floor, 1st Floor, 2nd Floor. and 3rd Floor. The Institutes Plant Room is positioned on the 4th floor and its energy centre is on the ground floor. In total 16 488 square meters of secure laboratory, scientific resource, office, café and plant/energy room space.

All floors are served by 3 central lifts and 3 staircases: North, Central and South.

Each floor has varying uses. The Building requires a high standard of cleaning along with a proactive approach from its cleaners to ensure that the buildings cleaning standards are achieved. The contract is monitored and run by the use of Key Performance Indicators that require a monthly meeting, to enable the Facilities Manager of the building to meet with the Cleaning Contractor and discuss the way in which things are running.

Usage of Consumables is also important and is monitored each month so that usage can be estimated and the correct amount of items brought to site at the right time of year.

— Optimisation of the development capacity of the identified sites.

The University and the Trust would also like to secure the potential to include within the scope of the study several key Trust sites, also around the front of the Campus. The Trust is currently developing its new clinical strategy, which it expects to publish in September/October 2016, and at that stage will be in a position to decide whether it would like these sites included.

Northstowe Phase 2 — Archaeology Mitigation (Excavation)

The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) is procuring archaeological investigation and archaeological mitigation works (identify and record/recover) at our Northstowe site; which is a proposed new town development located 10km north-west of Cambridge, UK. The underlying geology is comprised of 3rd and 4th terrace river gravels above Kimmeridge and Ampthill clay formations. The site has been subject to geophysical survey and trial trench evaluation, which has identified numerous sites of archaeological interest. These are predominantly of Iron Age and Roman date, although there is also evidence for Bronze Age activity. Late Saxon and Medieval archaeology has also been identified, but these known sites will not be impacted by thedevelopment. Recent adjacent fieldwork has also identified evidence for extensive Saxon settlement andburials. A full brief for the works has been prepared by Cambridgeshire Historic Environment Team (CHET), the principal elements are: — Open Area excavation of identified sites; — Strip/map/record area of water-park; — Strip/map/record new access and haulage roads; — Transect investigation of areas where remains not identified in evaluation or geophysical survey; — Post-excavation assessment and analysis leading to the production of an archive report and publication of the excavation results. The Contractor shall prepare a Written Schemeof Investigation (WSI) for the whole of the works which shall include, but not be limited to: — the Contractor's method for surveying and establishing the site grid; — the Contractor's retention and disposal policies for samples and artefacts recovered during the Works; — the Contractor's method for excavating and recording inhumations and cremations; — the Contractor's method for palaeoenvironmental site sampling and processing procedures (to include recovery of samples for chronometric dating); — the Contractor's procedures for liaison with the Principal Contractor on appointment; — the Contractors Methods and Procedures for quality control and assurance; — the Contractors methods for ensuring the quality of work undertaken by subcontractors; and— the Contractor's methods for undertaking post excavation, assessment, analysis and reporting. The WSI shall be issued in draft as part of the Contractor's response to the Invitation to Tender. A revised draft shall be issued within 5 working days of contract award. The WSI shall clearly identify all Standards and Guidance thatthe Contractor intends to comply with in the delivery of the Works. The finalised WSI will be issued to CHET bythe Client for agreement. In addition, and in accordance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM), the Contractor shall fulfil all the duties of the Principal Contractor. The Contractor shall prepare a Written Scheme of Investigation (WSI) for the whole of the works which shall include, but not be limited to: • the Contractor’s method for surveying and establishing the site grid; • the Contractor’s retention and disposal policies for samples and artefacts recovered during the Works; • the Contractor’s method for excavating and recording inhumations and cremations; • the Contractor's method for palaeo-environmental site sampling and processing procedures (to include recovery of samples for chronometric dating); • the Contractor’s procedures for liaison with the Principal Contractor on appointment; • the Contractors Methods and Procedures for quality control and assurance; • the Contractors methods for ensuring the quality of work undertaken by subcontractors, and • the Contractor’s methods for undertaking post excavation, assessment, analysis and reporting. The WSI shall be issued in draft as part of the Contractor’s response to the Invitation to Tender. A revised draft shall be issued within 5 working days of contract award. The WSI shall clearly identify all Standards and Guidance that the Contractor intends to comply with in the delivery of the Works. GÉANT's backbone IP network is entirely made up of Juniper MX series routers. These routers were procured in 2012 as part of a contract which included 4 years of on-site support and a framework for upgrades and expansion. That 4 year contract expires on 5.9.2016, and accordingly GÉANT is looking to secure 1 or more Preferred Tenderers to deliver a number of services both to support the current set of routers and also allow for their ongoing enhancement. Cambridgeshire County Council, on behalf of Cambridge City Council, East Cambridgeshire District Council, Fenland District Council, Huntingdonshire District Council, South Cambridgeshire wishes to invite Tenders for the supply of services in respect of the Cambridgeshire County Wide Handypersons Service. The Successful Provider will be responsible for providing this service and liaising closely with a Contract Manager from Cambridgeshire County Council. There will be only one contract which will be signed by all of the Partnership Authorities as well as the Successful Provider. The aim of the service is to enable people to live in their own home more safely and securely. The Handyperson Service is an important resource to enable independent living and create a safe environment through early intervention by an accessible and appropriate service. This can range from prevention of falls, reducing admission to hospital or care homes, to maintenance of a decent housing stock. The declared budget for this service is 527 757 GBP for the initial 3 year contract (175 919 GBP pa). Potential Providers who intend to submit a bid are expected to fully utilise this budget with the aim of delivering as many Assessments and Home Safety Checks as possible for the budget available. Potential Providers must not submit bids above this total value. This contract is for 3 years, with an option to extend for 2 years. The potential value of this contract is 879 595 GBP.
