The unit of Living environment and Health of the National Institute for Health and Welfare is about to buy five new portable devices capable of measuring ultrafine particles count and lung-deposited surface area.
Compulsory requirements for the desired device type are:
-Ability to measure particle concentrations at size range 10 nm - 250 nm in concentration range of 10^3-10^6 particles/cm^3.
-Measuring interval for particle concentrations 3 s
-Ability to measure particle number concentration and lung-deposited surface area
-Ability to storage data into internal memory (USB-interface needed) or into memory card
-Internal battery with minimum measuring time of 5 hours and possibility to long term measurements with a power supply
-Microsoft Windows compatible program to handle the collected data and possibility to export the collected data to be used in the most common spreadsheets
-The device type should not consume any liquids.
