The client writes the following three lots from:

Lot 2: Supply of 1x A0 + flatbed scanner.

Lot 3: Supply of 1x camera-based Reproduktionsset (camera technology tripod / Repro table, film scanning tool, accessories) for the accompanying documentation of cultural artifacts with special reference to the digitization of translucent media such as slides or film material.

To develop and deliver are:

- -> one (1) stationary, autonomous, self-calibrating and scalable platform with a standardized and variable lighting environment with automated detection technique for complex 3D objects (use intensity ≥ 8h / day).

- -> one (1) hand or tripod guided 3D scanner with integrated high resolution color camera for detection of complex cultural goods (in particular 360 ° measurement) in different locations ((using a standardized and variable illumination environment) as a mobile system with little setup work self- calibrated and scalable platform) and the possibility of finishing the recordings for the automatic assembly of individual views (3D and color), intensity of use (≥ 6 hours / day.

To develop is a software package, which automatically merges the image sequences of several miniaturized cameras, whose facial fields overlap, to a consistent panorama. Since the cameras do not necessarily have the same location - they are about 10 mm apart in a specific case - parallax occurs between the image sequences. This parallax depends on the distance from the cameras to the objects in the captured scene; Within a scene it is therefore different for different objects. For a spatially consistent panorama, therefore, the parallax between all camera players must first be determined. This must be done exclusively on the basis of the image data itself; There are no other means of distance measurement available. The result of this step can be a pixel-accurate depth map or a point cloud of the environment, which must not be exact, complete or absolute; It serves only as a help for the fusion of the camera players. For a higher robustness, not only differences between camera pairs are to be considered, but also the movement of each camera within the scene. For this purpose, the motion trajectory of the camera arrangement (or of the individual cameras) should be reconstructed together with a point cloud of the environment. A typical such algorithm is SLAM (Simultaneous Location and Mapping). In the last step, the image sequences are to be merged visually as error-free as possible. To do this, the predicted depth maps, point clouds and camera trajectories are available. Each connected panoramic image should not only be error-free, but also consistent with the previous and subsequent images of the image sequence.
