The Advancing Small Business Queensland Strategy 2016-20 (the Strategy) is the Queensland Government’s plan to enable small business to meet the challenges of a changing economy by creating a stronger environment for small business to start, grow and employ.
The Strategy includes a suite of services and support including:
• the Mentoring for Growth program
• three targeted grants programs (Small Business Entrepreneur Grants, Small Business Digital Grants and the Accelerate Small Business Grants)
• tailored small business workshops.

This suite of services is designed to ensure small businesses are provided an opportunity to work smarter, be sustainable and achieve their growth aspirations.
Objectives
The Office of Small Business has set the following targets:
• deliver 500 Mentoring for Growth activities each year by 2020
• grow the number of active Mentors involved in the Mentoring for Growth program to from 500 to 650 by 2020
• deliver a minimum of 1,500 grants to small businesses by 2020

Audience
• Small businesses (1 – 19 employees) across Queensland
• Experienced business leaders and experts who could volunteer to become Mentors in the Mentoring for Growth program

The scope of works includes the demolition and removal of buildings from site and relevant services relocation and termination for each of the following: 1) 0129/N012 – Living in Accommodation (LIA) Building 2) 0129/N013 – Living in Accommodation (LIA) Building 3) 0129/H009 – Living in Accommodation (LIA) Building 4) 0129/H010 – Living in Accommodation (LIA) Building 5) 0129/G003 – Petrol, Oil & Lubricant (POL) Store 6) 0129/G013 – Petrol, Oil & Lubricant (POL) Store 7) 0129/O017 – Administration Building Potential risks from known contamination have been identified on the base. These risks are actively managed by Defence to ensure that impact to human health and the environment is minimised. Demolition of the buildings include but not limited to the following: - Remove and dispose of all hazardous materials including but not limited to asbestos, PCB’s and synthetic mineral fibres (refer Environmental Site Assessment); - Remove and dispose of building structure and all internal building contents; - Remove and dispose of foundations; - Remove and dispose of footpaths serving the building as directed; - Termination of services; - Removal of garden beds and surrounds; - Decommission and remove electrical system as per requirements; - Disconnect and remove all building water supply and drainage pipes, including storm water pipe connections. Cap and seal all pipes at point of connection; - Decommission and remove existing communications and fire protection services, including associated infrastructure as per requirements; - Remove all air-conditioning and ventilation systems associated within the buildings; - Removal of adjacent sign posts (where agreed); - Demolition of adjacent drying area including masonry walls, pavers, garden bed, pathway (not including railed steps) and ancillary structures; - Retain gravelled driveway and associated signage; - Retain mature trees as agreed with users; and - Site is to be levelled, re-profiled, stabilised and seeded to match adjacent properties.
