The pixels should be 14um or smaller with good PSF. The system noise should be 25 electrons or less. The maximum signal per pixel should be about 125k electrons or above with nonlinearity of around 1% or less. A detection area of at least 28x28mm and 100% fill factor is needed to cover the acceptance in low-angle scattering experiments. The camera needs to have good QE from at least 4keV to 10keV. It should read out in less than 40s in highest resolution mode and be able to read out faster than 0.4 Hz in a less stringent mode for use during alignment. An indirect-detection camera is preferred because it will be exposed to intense beam. The pixel size required for position reconstruction is about 14um given the operating distance. The maximum signal should be at least 100k electrons per pixel. The system noise should be below 20 electrons. It should be back-illuminated and uncoated with an entrance window suitable for applications at least as low as 500 eV and should have good collection efficiency up to at least 2keV. It should read out at 0.4 Hz or faster. The camera needs to run in vacuum in order to be moved within 10cm of the sample position. It should reach around 10^-5 Torr and needs built-in cooling.
