We have divided the services we intend to procure into two lots: Lot A relates to legal issues surrounding site development, Lot B relates to general business law. Minesto’s primary objective is to develop and install a tidal stream project at Holyhead Deep. This marine technology and a project of this sort is relatively novel and challenging. Minesto wishes to procure legal advisors who have the relevant specialist expertise and experience. Prospective tenderers of lot A should therefore have understanding of the development of such technology. A number of key areas in the Services required are so essential to this project that if tenderers are not able to demonstrate expertise in these areas we would not want to further evaluates the proposal. We have indicated these key areas below with an asterisk.
