Energy trading to allow for testing of the East-West Interconnector
EirGrid plc | Published April 13, 2017 - Deadline May 3, 2017
The East-West Interconnector will undergo a number of projects in the coming years and will require high power testing following the installation works associated with these projects, to prove the link fit to return to commercial operation. EIDAC requires an energy trader to buy and sell energy in both the Irish and British electricity markets to facilitate this high power testing.
In addition to the scheduled works the East-West Interconnector may require high power testing of the link following a forced outage where primary plant is replaced.
