DESY is inviting tenders for a non-magnetic diffractometer to be used with a high field magnet of
up to 14 T. The requested diffractometer consists of a sample- and a detector stage.
The Swedish beamline, P21, located at the PETRA III extension, will accommodate a sidesta-
tion for high energy x-ray diffraction at energies of 52, 85 and 100 keV. The exceptional beam
quality and stability at the sample position of the experimental station require a highly precise and
stable orientation of the sample and of the whole diffractometer setup.
The European XFEL GmbH will commence installation of 3 high power optical lasers and 6 subsequent optical beam lines to experimental end-stations in 2016. Installation and full commissioning will require up to 3 years. At 1 030nm and 515nm, these lasers will emit millisecond-long bursts of pulses with up to 50mJ single pulse energy. Pulses have a duration ranging from 800fs to 1/2 a ns and occur with repetition rates between 0-5MHz within the burst. At 800nm, similar conditions prevail with single pulse energies up to 5mJ and pulse durations as short as 10fs. This contract is for the equipment of the actual laser systems and the according beam lines with suited laser optics. The scope of supply comprises the manufacturing, testing, documentation, packaging and delivery of optics (Conversion 800 nm; Conversion 1 030 nm) for the laser systems and beam lines.
