The works and your price shall include the supply of all qualified labour, provision of materials, PPE, consumables, ancillary plant & equipment, tools required to fabricate and supply the CC1A Conveyor Undergantry Inspection Platform.
Platform to be freighted Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) to RG Tanna Coal Terminal, Bryan Jordan Drive, Gladstone, QLD.
All work shall be in accordance with the nominated GPC Standards and Specifications or alternatively, if not provided, in accordance with any and all relevant Australian Standards and legislative requirements.

The purpose of the investigation is to understand the nature of the UCG  cavities.   The site is located 15 kilometres south east of Chinchilla and approximately 60 kilometres north west of Dalby in southern Queensland.

Stanwell is conducting this Expression of Interest to invite responses from contracting firms with sound financial and technical backgrounds interested in proposing methods for the management, removal and / or utilisation of CCPs from Stanwell’s coal-fired generation sites located at Tarong Power Station, Tarong North Power Station, Stanwell Power Station and the Meandu Mine.
Stanwell, through this process of the EOI, hopes to identify:

  • current market interest in, and demand for, the various grades of ash available from Stanwell’s Tarong, Tarong North and Stanwell power stations and cenospheres from the Tarong Power Station and the Meandu Mine;
  • methods for the management, removal and / or utilisation of CCPs;
  • offtakers who have the ability to increase the overall CCP offtake from Stanwell’s sites; 
  • potential ACCC issues which will need to be addressed

Evaluation of EOI responses will ensure an informed decision can be made whether to proceed to a request for tender in early 2017.

Expression of Interest

Gladstone Ports Corporation Limited (GPC) is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified companies for OS15312813 - RG Tanna Coal Terminal Structural Integrity Works to consist of the:

  • Provision of Access Systems and Installation Services
  • Provision of Surface Preparation Protective Coating Services
  • Provision of On Site In-situ Welding Services

Expressions of Interest will be evaluated in accordance with the pre-qualification questionnaire responses. Thereafter a selected number of companies will be formally invited to supply a priced proposal to GPC.

It is GPC’s intention to award the above works to a selected panel of Contractors over a proposed period of three (3) years.

Remediation of Old Dalby Central Substation Site Stage 2

The Contractor shall construct the civil works associated with the second stage of the remediation of the old Dalby Central Substation Site as indicated on the drawings and described in the “Dalby Central Remediation Plan for Stage 2 Area”, Ergon Energy Environmental Management Plan and the Specification.

The site has been used historically for the supply of electricity to the town of Dalby. Prior to its use as a substation the site was used for generation of electricity with gas powered engines. Plant on the site generated gas from both coal and timber. The contaminants identified on the site are largely from this early use.

Round 2 of the Advance Queensland Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) initiative is now open for applications.

The SBIR funds the research, development and testing of innovative solutions to specific challenges facing Queensland. The SBIR is a new way for government to do business. Rather than going to market seeking a specific product or service, the SBIR focuses on what the challenge is, and invites innovators to tell government how they think it could be solved.

There are four challenges to be solved as part of SBIR Round 2:

  1. Supporting Learning for Students with Disabilities in Rural and Remote Locations

  2. Affordable and Accessible Point of Entry to Public Housing
