The General Services Administration (GSA) is procuring construction services for the "Refurbishment of the Low and Medium Voltage Switchgears, Replacement of the Motor Control Center and the Renovation of the Electrical Panel Boards" at the Edward A. Garmatz Federal Building located in Baltimore, MD. This project entails upgrades and replacements to the electrical system in the Edward A. Garmatz Federal Courthouse which includes the refurbishment of the Medium and Low voltage switchgear, which are original to the 1976 construction,replacement of the motor control centers (MCCs), and renovation to electrical panel boards to correct splices within the boards. Per a 2008 Building Engineering Report (BER) and 2010 Master Plan,these were specified as necessary work items to ensure building functionality and operability. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated value range for this procurement is $5,000,000-$10,000,000. The current acquistion strategy is to pursue a Total Small Business Set-Aside under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 238210, Electrical Contractors and other Wiring Installation Contractors. The proposed IFB procurement is a total small business set aside with a small business size standard of $36.5 million. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The Government intends to award one design-bid-build construction contract for the new and permanent construction of a 15,000 square-foot (SF), 2-story facility with a footprint of approximately 75' by 152'. Includes an exterior brick facade and a gabled, standing metal roof with exterior downspouts. Includes a concrete foundation and slab on-grade. The facility will include the following spaces for multiple functions: administrative, building support, and both common and storage areas. PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE W912DR-14-B-0008 THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION Construct Taxiway to North of ACA Facility, Building 2489, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Maryland The proposed procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside, NAICS 237310 with a small business size standard of $33.5M. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Government intends to award one construction contract consisting of the construction of the Taxiway to the North of the ACA Facility, Building 2489 at Joint Base Andrews (JBA). The project includes construction of a reinforced concrete taxiway with asphalt shoulders to provide a second egress from the ACA facility to the runway. Work includes site preparations, storm water management plan & permits, site drainage, seeding & ground cover, foreign object debris (FOD) cleanup, taxiway edge lights, electrical conduits & transformer/switchgear, signage, taxiway paint striping, berm construction and other necessary support to make the project complete and usable.
