Repair and maintenance services of electrical building installations. Electrical installation work of heating and other electrical building-equipment. Efficiency East Midlands (EEM) Framework for provision of Electrical Repairs, Rewires and Periodic Testing on all identified electronic installations. During the life of the framework, Contractors may also be requested to undertake one off projects such as communal lighting upgrades, large scale carbon monoxide/smoke alarm upgrades and LED installations. Contractors must be able to provide the services through this framework across a spectrum of different building types e.g. domestic properties, commercial properties such as offices, schools and sheltered schemes and any other building owned and/or managed by our membership. EEM members are predominantly within the East Midlands but not exclusively so and may have requirements in other parts of England and Wales. The consortia is owned by our members which include Housing Associations, ALMO's, Local Authorities, Universities, Hospitals and bodies from the wider public sector. Scope

The successful contractors will form a framework of 4 that will tender for future electrical installation works up to the value of 180 000 GBP (incl. VAT). These works will consist of;

Electrical/Mechanical works as part of minor refurbishments.

Electrical Repair/Maintenance and general housekeeping.

Urgent Electrical remedial/repair works.

Due to the nature of some works in certain instances contractors on the framework may be asked to work on a day rate basis.

Frequently the Contractor will be asked to carry out the design and installation of electrical services including CAD drawings and design calculations.

As this framework is for larger Electrical works it is highly likely that the contractor will be required to take the Lead/Principle role when dealing with the design, installation and site issues. Mechanical and Electrical, Structural Engineering, Architectural and Related Design Services for the ISTEC (Interdisciplinary Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics Technology and Engagement Centre) New Build comprising for the following Lots: Lot 1 — Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Services (Lead Consultant). Lot 2 — Architectural Design Services. Lot 3 — Structural Engineering Services. The new build Interdisciplinary STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Teaching and Engagement Centre (ISTEC) will provide additional high quality laboratories in the form of an extension to Rosalind Franklin Building (RFB). ISTEC will contain co-located laboratories for all STEM disciplines devoted to project work of undergraduate and postgraduate taught students, enabling further exploration of strong STEM inter- and multi- disciplinary ethos and incorporating embedded outreach and employer/industry engagement facilities. Establishment of ISTEC will enable students to; — Work across STEM discipline interfaces. — Engage in increased technical, team-working and industry relevant activities through industry led projects, thereby increasing industry ready skills and knowledge. — Experience a seamless transition between university learning and employment, enhancing employability and future industry university collaborations. Nottingham Trent University is committed to reducing its carbon footprint by reducing energy consumption. It is expected therefore that ISTEC's design should reflect the University's commitment to energy reduction. Net construction cost is expected to fall between 5 000 000 GBP to 7 000 000 GBP.
