The proposed contract will be for an initial period of five (5) years commencing in September 2017, with an option to extend for a further two year extension.

The contracting authority anticipates that the Transfer of Undertaking (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE) will not apply to this contract.

The Contract is for the upgrade of sports pitch 6 at Jordanstown campus and sports pitch 4 at Coleraine campus.

The existing sports pitches comprise sand carpet natural turf surfaces, and are primarily used for GAA/Gaelic football and soccer. The works shall include the removal of the existing pitch surface and sand carpet, review and upgrade of existing drainage systems, replacement of pitch surface/makeup with a new fibresand topped sand carpet, including drainage improvements and critical maintenance to successfully meet the requirements of the grow in period. The works shall also include the provision of an irrigation system for sports pitch 4 at Coleraine Campus only, involving provision of services to supply a new booster pump station and a new underground water storage tank, associate pitch irrigation pipework, associated mechanical and electrical works to supply a new travelling sprinkler system and surface water drainage connections to the new underground tank. The Contractor shall be required to employ a suitably qualified and experienced Mechanical & Electrical Sub-Contractor & irrigation system/pump supplier to complete the works associated with the irrigation system and water supply.

Each University Campus and general sports grounds surrounding both pitches shall remain operational for the duration of the works. The Contractor shall be required to maintain adequate protection of both pitches during construction, during grow in period and up to project handover.

It is anticipated that the works/Contract Period will commence in early April 2017 and practical completion by early July 2017, with grow in period completion by end of October 2017, and End of Defects Period by early July 2018. A detailed programme of the works will be drawn-up with the successful contractor.

• All storm/surface and foul water drainage covers and associated drains necessitated by their design.
• Area for small computer server and external installation of inverters for the wind turbine currently on site.
Electrical wiring shall be in the form of a dado style conduit that allows the placement of power sockets and later the data cables and sockets.
• The building’s design and construction shall meet the requirements of any relevant Government Buying Standards and achieve BREEAM ’Very Good’ status.

English Heritage Trust wishes to re-tender the measured term contracts for a) building maintenance services and b) mechanical & electrical maintenance services for parts of its estate of historic sites, associated buildings and offices. English Heritage Trust manages over 400 historic properties across England as well as offices and stores. The sites have a mix of both historic and non-historic assets and some hold collections of significant value and of historic importance. Some may be in remote areas and may be difficult to access.
They vary significantly in size, complexity, geographical location and type ranging from furnished historic houses, ruined castles and abbeys to prehistoric and Roman remains, industrial sites, gardens and statues. Almost all are protected as scheduled ancient monuments and /or listed buildings, registered historic gardens, conservation areas. A few are World Heritage Sites. English Heritage Trust conserves and maintains these properties for the enjoyment of present and future generations.

Architectural & Related Design Services for the Medical Technology Innovation Facilities

The University wishes to obtain expressions of interest from a multidiscipline design team for a new science development.
The design team will be required to provide the following professional services:
• Architecture
• Engineering
• Project Management
• Cost Management
• Mechanical and Electrical Engineering

The University requires a team to offer a full design services (RIBA Stages 2 - 6) for covering both pre and post contract services.
The completion of the Pre Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) documentation is be required to be a joint submission as a consortium and will be evaluated and scored as such.
Following the pre qualification and tender stage the award will be to the successful design team who will be required to enter into individual contracts of appointment with the University. There will not be a lead consultant role.

The project is a Science led development, for the creation of a new medical technology innovation facility. Addressing fundamental research in which to develop platform technologies for commercialisation. The project is to be created over two sites and involving two separate construction schemes.
Development A is a c1,800m2 new build Research and Development Science building at the University’s Clifton campus in Nottingham.
Development B is a c1,400m2 fit out development creating a science commercialisation facility within an existing large open plan building in Nottingham.
The sites are approximately 5 miles apart. Associated with the development are demolition and general site preparation works which will form part of the commission.
The anticipated overall development cost is expected to be in the order of £16m (including inflation, professional fees, contingency and VAT). This can be provisionally split as:
• Development A: New Build - Construction costs £10m
• Development B: Fit Out - Construction costs £6m

The project will need to be complete and fully operational for May 2019.
