ELECTRIC SECURITY FENCE AND GATES MAINTENANCE SERVICES

The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), hereby invites qualified companies to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming competitive bidding exercise for Maintenance of Electric Security Fence and Gates at the UNON Gigiri Complex, Nairobi, Kenya.
The scope of the requirement may include the provision of the following services;
i) Supply all necessary manpower, materials, tools, meters, transport, insurances and all other costs needed to correctly perform the maintenance services.
ii) Maintenance of the equipment comprising the Electric Security Fences and Gates.
iii) Perform physical checks for damages, cracks, breaks, cuts, signs of overheating or water ingress.
iv) Run checks on tightness of electrical cable connections.
iv) Run checks on operation of energizers, monitors, gate drive, control units, switches, circuit breakers, meters, fuses, indicator lamps etc.
v) Insulation tests on major electrical cables, lead out cables etc.
vi) Liaise with UNON Facilities Management and the Security Services if any works are to be carried out on the gates or fences that would affect these devices in ANY manner.
2) The selected bidder MUST realize that the works are sensitive and confidential and that they will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement with regard to the content and design of the fencing and gate system..
The complete detail of the requirement will be included in the tender document that will be issued to the bidders after this request for EOI is closed
Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. Its purpose is to identify eligible vendors that would be interested to participate in the related upcoming solicitation.
UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement of this EOI at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this REOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for reciept of the solicitation when issued. Only vendors, which in the UN's sole discretion, are deemed eligible and qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their EOI submissions, may receive the final solicitation documents
