The crew barracks I in Thun, which was completed in 1868, is structurally in poor condition, so that a total renovation of the building is imperative. The barracks is a national monument with correspondingly high historic preservation requirements.

In addition to the general repair the barracks at the same time adapted to the current needs of the troops, so that they can also be used in future as a military barracks.

The renovation is carried out in two stages and includes the following priorities:

Bernmobil intends retrieving a two-way motor autotowers for intervention and maintenance of tram and trolleybus contact lines.

At providers and vehicle following main requirements:

-Two-Way vehicle: with a maximum gross weight of 18 t for the transport of up to 4 people and a payload of 1.5 tons;

-Aufbau As autotowers: insulated scissor lift (360 ° endless, vertically 11 m, horizontal 3.8 m, without support), various tools and materials cabinets, as well as intervention and work lights;

-Einsatzgebiete: Troubleshooting, maintenance, testing and inspection trips, measuring lateral and vertical position of the contact wire towards the track axis, condition assessment, renovation work, contact wire replacement, mounting cross clamps, work on electrical equipment under tension and pruning;
