This requires operations in various river conditions including shallow braided channels and fast flowing rapids. Lake colonization and nutrient monitoring is a key task for the vessel in support of recent strategy changes in juvenile salmon rearing programs. Near shore marine use will relate to beach seining activities as well as a marine plankton sampling program Utilization: Near shore marine use will relate to beach seining activities as well as a marine plankton sampling program The boat is required to be capable of operating in shallow draft conditions (i.e. minimum depth of 0.2 meter) as well as variable open water conditions (waves & swells up 1.85 meter) while providing a reasonable standard of passenger comfort. The vessel will be trailered locally on paved roads with occasional travel on gravel logging roads. The boat will be trailered extensively over long distances on gravel roads and launched from all types of remote location launch ramps. OPTION One optional boat and trailer is included in this solicitation. DELIVERY Delivery of the boat and all other deliverables are required by the contract to be at destination on or before 20 November, 2015. PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VESSEL 1. Carry out the design, construction, test, trial and delivery of ONE (1) 9.5 to 9.8 m RHIB with enclosed cabin, including outboard motors and trailer for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in accordance with the associated Technical Specifications detailed in the Statement of Work as Annexe A..    OPTIONAL GOODS:    The Contractor grants to Canada the irrevocable option to acquire one (1) boat with trailer, described at Annex A of the Contract under the same conditions and at the prices and/or rates stated in the Contract. The option may only be exercised by the Contracting Authority and will be evidenced, for administrative purposes only, through a contract amendment.   The Contracting Authority may exercise the option within 12 months after contract award   DELIVERY:  Delivery of the boat and all other deliverables are required by the contract to be at destination on or before 30 November, 2016 or at an acceptable date ARO.   MISSON STATEMENT:  The vessel will be supporting the various policing operations within the detachment including border enforcement, tactical operations, transport of personnel and search and rescue (SAR) operations.  .  PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VESSEL:   1. Length:     = 8.5 M to 9.5 M maximum.  2. Crew of 4    = 120 kg/person  3. Equipment & supplies   = 300 kg   MANDATORY CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS:   1.
