For the setup of a pre-production line for thin film photovoltaic modules at Imec/Energyville we want to acquire a set of tools that allow for a back-end patterning process.
The machines should be applied in the fabrication of CIGS, CZTS, perovskite and organic solar cells. The cells are fabricated on a variety of substrate materials as glass, metal, or plastic film. The targeted sample size is max 35x35cm2.
The machines have to perform two tasks: (a) laser ablation of thin film layers and (b) application of inks of electrical isolators and metals by printing or dispensing.
The laser ablation system and the ink application device will be installed in an in-line configuration. The system first needs to be installed on a temporary location at IMEC and needs to be moved to another location after finalization of Energyville II. Desassembly of the tool on the first location and reassembly of the tool is included in the scope of the contract.
