EaP Managed capacity Phase IV

This tender is the fourth procurement activity relating to the Eastern Partnership Connect (EaP Connect) project. The EaP Connect project sets out to create a regional high speed internet network dedicated to research and education (R&E) across Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. EaPConnect will interconnect the national research and education networks (NRENs) in these six Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries and integrate them into the pan-European GÉANT network, enabling scientists and academics to collaborate and engage in innovative, data-intensive international projects.

This procurement seeks to establish one or more contracts for high capacity point to point links connecting the GEANT network in specific point to the NREN PoP in the Ukraine. The minimum connectivity service capacity is 10 Gbps. Contracts that may be awarded from this procurement will run for a maximum term of 3 years.

There will be a bidders event on Friday 18th December 2016.

Modular and portable buildings

Manufacture, supply, delivery and erection of a range of types and sizes of mobile classroom buildings to any Local Education Authority site within the East Midlands or East of England regions of the UK, predominantly Cambridgeshire. It is difficult to predict the exact value of this contract as the Authorities' requirements are likely to vary over the contract term, but it is estimated that the total value will not be less than 2 000 000 GBP or greater than 4 000 000 GBP It should be stressed that there is no guarantee of any body other than the Cambridgeshire County Council accessing this contract, and that the figures given are for indicative purposes only. The Authority is seeking to appoint ‘3 or 4’ contractors to the framework.

UCAM 062/16 For the provision of Café Services to the University of Cambridge Botanic Garden

Cambridge University Botanic Garden cultivates an internationally important and diverse collection of over 8 000 plants in a Grade 2 star listed heritage garden. It combines its role as a University research and teaching facility with that of public education and amenity. It is the third most visited attraction in Cambridge City after King's College Chapel and the University's Fitzwilliam Museum, receiving over 250,000 visitors a year.

The Agreement with our current catering provider will end on 31.3.2017 and the Garden is tendering the contract in line with EU Procurement Directives for the award of a three-year contract at the same facility with effect from 1.4.2017 until 31.3.2020 with an option to extend by up to 2 years in 12 monthly increments until 2022.

The café (80 indoor seats and 116 outside seats) is run from the kitchen in the Garden's Gilmour Suite of the Sainsbury Laboratory Cambridge University Building. The successful supplier will be required to sign a lease for the café kitchen. Suppliers are asked to note that the café kitchen has limited food preparation and storage facilities.
