STFK aims to conclude an agreement for the supply of computers for students in secondary education. STFK since 2010/11 school year had a common scheme for the purchase of elevPC's. ElevPC scheme has been carried out so that all students have had to rent a PC by the county. Eleven have paid a deductible financed by equipment grant. By graduation, students have assumed ownership of PC assuming att rent fee is paid. The County Council adopted in its treatment of the strategic plan for 2014-2017 in Case 93/13 to introduce a new elevPC scheme where students get the opportunity to use private computers. Students can use any computer that fills certain minimum set of STFK. Pupils attending VG1 first time getting offers to book a subsidized comput n Through this agreement, in order to have a free option for those who need it. Eleven can only order one subsidized computer. The new scheme will come into force from the school year 2015/16. FIB-SEM:

NTNU NanoLab is the core facility in NorFab for high resolution processing and characterisation, and the proposed FIB and SEM will primarily support high education, research and development for NorFab users. The objective of this procurement is to meet the needs of our NanoLab users. FIB-SEM will complete our current FIB-SEM system, now that the time on the instrument has increased to 3 500 hour per year and the demand is expected to increase.

Within the Norwegian cleanroom network Norfab, the NTNU NanoLab is the core facility for high resolution processing and characterisation. An existing FEI Helios Nanolab FIB-SEM system has been in use in cleanroom since 2009 and is used daily in a number of different research applications, including nano-structuring, tomography, TEM lamella preparations and clarification of samples for nano-mechanical testing. Use of time on the existing instrument has reached 3 500 hours/year, and it is expected that demand will continue to increase in the future.

The objective of this procurement is to relieve the increasing need for instrument availability and provide an updated instrument that can cover NanoLab's need for tools that can high resolution pattern and characterisation of different materials in a multi-user system. The suggested instrument/solution shall be used for high education and research on a number of applications and materials dictated by the steadily increasing need of NanoLab users.

SEM:

The suggested FIB and SEM will primarily support high education and research for NorFab users. The objective of this procurement is to meet the needs of our NanoLab users at NTNU NanoLab. SEM will be used as a characterisation tool as part of a process line based on lithography, thin film and EBL.

As a NorFab facility, there are several different lithography (optical, electron beam nano imprint) and thin film process lines on location at NTNU NanoLab. The objective of this procurement is to meet the increasing demand/need for a high performance, large chamber characterisation/inspection tool as part of these process lines. The proposed instrument/solution will support high education and research for NorFab users in a multi-user system.

The contracting authority intends to procure a Scanning Electron Microscope (SIM) for building and construction materials. The SEM shall be procured with EDS for element analysis.

The SEM laboratory will be dedicated and optimised for the different research assignments in the relevant fields, education of students and, in this way, particular focus on research based education. The SEM laboratory should enable studies of building and construction materials including larger samples and electrically non-conducting materials without the need of e.g. gold plating of the sample surfaces (although for completeness and specific samples coating equipment may also be purchased if required and optional).

Furthermore, the SEM laboratory is to be easily accessible and available for users, i.e. it is also important that the use of SEM, including sample handling, is as easy as possible. Thermic analysis is an important analysis method within the catalysis discipline at the catalysis group at the Institute for Chemical Process Technology, at NTNU. Thermic analysis measures physical and chemical changes in a material as a function of temperature. It can give us important information on the volatility of the sample components, decomposition, oxidation/reduction reactions and other reactions and changes. In order to continue supporting and developing our research and education in catalysis, the institute plans to procure a thermic analyser that can measure thermic gravimetric analyses (TGA), differential scan calorimetry (DSC) and a differential thermic analyser (DTA) for connection to a mass spectromter (MS).

This machine should include a melting and casting system, a computer-operated relocation system for crucibles, a heating system, a cooling system and a vacuum system.
