The aim of the Darlington’s Behaviour and Attendance Partnership is to develop a framework for the Alternative Education Provision for young people in Darlington.
The Framework Agreement for Alternative Provision will form part of the delivery of education to young people in Darlington and will particularly support vulnerable young people.
The framework will comprise of 3 Lots of provision:
Lot 1: Full-time alternative education for Key stage 4 (with Ofsted registered providers)
Lot 2:Part-time alternative education placements offering a range of options
Lot 3: Assessment and planning placements for Key stage 3 and Key stage 4
The Framework will not cover provision currently provided by the Local Authority except for the Phoenix Centre and also will not include the following:
Residential provision (out of the authority)
Post compulsory educational provision for 16-19 year olds
Current contracts with providers for individual children up to their expiry date.

This contract (“the Contract”) is for the provision for home to school transportation to take passengers to Mainstream Schools and Special Education Needs schools and any other destinations which may fall under the requirements.
The primary objective is for the provision for various home to school transport, this includes various sized vehicles from taxis ranging through to mini and full sized buses.
