1. BACKGROUND

Accompaniment Programme and Cash Access (PACE)

PACE is the third measure committed by the government of President Michelle Bachelet for the first 100 days of government.

These vacancies will be allocated through a special application process will consider the academic performance of students.

The program also includes, accompany students in a process of preparation for secondary education, and also during the first years of higher education, with a leveling stage so they can stay in the system and achieve their qualifications.

PACE 2016

PACE is being implemented in 456 educational establishments in 304 municipalities in all regions of the country.

All these activities are carried out by teachers of educational institutions, who have been trained in working together with teachers of higher education institutions participating in the PACE model.

1. SERVICE REQUIRED

Specifically, it is required to apply a series of instruments:

  • Students,
  • teachers,
  • directors

In that sense, the Contractor shall only collect the information required in the field, prepare and deliver the resulting databases of the Technical Counterpart.

This survey will be delivered by the Technical Counterpart to the Contractor, who shall deliver turn the resulting databases, as specified in paragraph 7 of the Technical Bases.

2. OBJECTIVES

General objective

Design and implement the collection of information from various educational actors on a number of areas of their establishments.

Specific objective

These instruments are:

  • Surveys all students of 4th 2017 across 64 establishments that joined the program by randomization, 2016
  • Surveys all students of 4th 2017 across 64 establishments that were not participating in the program by 2016, and which have similar characteristics to those who joined that year by randomization.
  • Surveys 2 teachers and to the director of 64 establishments that joined the program by randomization, 2016.
  • Surveys 2 teachers and principal, 64 establishments that were not attached to the 2016 program, which have similar characteristics to those joined by such randomization year.

In particular we expect:

  • Knowing the expectations of principals, teachers and students about the future of students in their establishments.
  • Know the perceptions of principals, teachers and students regarding the perceived quality of their establishments.
  • Know the perceptions of teachers and students regarding the quality of school life of their establishments.
