Structural and Civil Engineering Consultancy East Lothian Council intends to enter into an agreement with a firm of consultants to provide a Structural and Civil Engineering Consultancy Service for the alterations and extension to Law Primary School, North Berwick. Description of Project The objective of the project is to expand Law Primary School to provide additional capacity to provide for the anticipated increase in pupil roll arising from new housing development. The existing single storey school will be extended to provide a two storey classroom block, a new multi-purpose hall, changing accommodation, additional dining and plant room. Internal alterations are required to reconfigure existing rooms to meet the brief. Alterations and extension of the north-east part of the school will provide a new nursery and associated facilities. The probable construction cost is in the region of £8/9M. The area of new build is approximately 3280m2.
