The purpose of the invitation to tender is to secure design team services to work with the Trust to complete the Gospel Hall Project, which aims to extend and refurbish the Gospel Hall in line with the initial scoping document. The Trust will require that: • the design team will provide a full range of services (RIBA Stages 1-7) including Architectural, Cost Consultancy, CDM Consultancy, Building Services Engineering, Structural /Civil Engineering, and specialist advice such as sustainability; • the architect will act as the lead consultant; • the design team will provide an analysis of sustainable options for the project including the assessment of capital costs and running costs for the following: o passive fabric first measures for the building repair and upgrading ( increased insulation, new double glazing suitable for conservation area, improved airtightness, etc; o renewable energy options to reduce primary energy requirements including the consideration of photovoltaic panels, ground source heat pump and air source heat options; and o a service engineer to provide advice on the potential for the project to benefit from energy saving schemes.
